Dr. Piya SEN GUPTA
BMedSci MBBS PhD FRCP
Dr. Piya Sen Gupta is the founder of EndoWell. She is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology, whose NHS base is at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, a SCOPE National Fellow of the World Obesity Federation and has received multiple awards throughout her career.
Dr. Sen Gupta uses technology where appropriate including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) to guide treatment changes in diabetes. She is skilled at using evidence-based treatments and encourages shared decision making with patients in selecting either non-medication approaches (if suitable) or medication approaches. She has particular experience in the use of gut hormone-based therapies and endoscopic treatments for diabesity, the topic of her PhD.
She is a research active clinician, formerly an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and ABCD research fellow, who has contributed to cutting-edge research, presenting at international conferences and has published this work in peer reviewed journals. She is the Principal Investigator on a number of clinical studies and is committed to delivering patient-centred high-quality care informed by the latest research, technology and innovation. She works closely with radiologists, surgeons, other physicians, nurses and dietitians, to deliver comprehensive multidisciplinary care with endocrine wellness as the main goal.
