You can make a direct booking. We also welcome referral letters and, if you are using private medical insurance, your insurance company may request a referral letter from a GP/ Specialist.
Please provide your GP details as we would aim to contact your GP after the appointment for better co-ordinated care.
Please complete the online form in advance of your appointment. If making a direct booking, we recommend you obtain or prepare relevant medical information that can aid your appointment. This could be done by providing copies of hospital letters/ discharge summaries/ blood test reports/ sharing information from your NHS app or requesting a summary of your medical record from your GP by making a subject access request. Please email these documents in advance at least 24 hours before your appointment.
Please bring the referral letter if you have one. Other documents that may be useful; are listed above. If you are a UK resident, your NHS app may be useful. Please bring a list of your current and recent medications.
Yes, this is up to you. Occasionally there may be reasons while visitors are limited e.g. infection control.
Up to 30 minutes new patient appointment, up to 15 minutes follow-up; sometimes an extended appointment is needed if your case is complex or multiple appointments to achieve this. If you think this is likely, please check with our secretary, who may book you for a 45 minute appointment instead, or a new and follow up appointment on separate days.
The visit will include a detailed evaluation, mostly through talking and listening; we usually undertake measurements such as weight, blood pressure, examine relevant area(s) and then discuss findings and next steps. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make you feel more comfortable during the visit. Please note you can ask for a chaperone for any part of the consultation.
In general, no. Sometimes fasting blood tests are useful but we have a walk in service for blood tests that can be arranged soon after the appointment. Many endocrine tests need to be done at a specific time of day. We can let you know about specific timing or preparation at the time of your appointment.
In general, we will only request tests that are clinically indicated but we would be happy to discuss your symptoms and, if relevant features, we can arrange appropriate tests.
Yes, for follow-up appointments but not for the first appointment. If you have had relevant tests before, please send us the details in advance. We will aim not to duplicate recent tests unnecessarily.
Blood tests can usually be taken on the same day/ next day or on your preferred day during the clinic’s opening hours. Sometimes special preparation is needed which will be explained to you. Scans can usually be arranged within days also.
This usually occurs at follow-up appointments. If you have not had the results of your tests, please arrange to make an appointment. We aim to keep you, your GP and referrer updated of results for co-ordinated care.

We use an electronic prescription service and medicines can usually be delivered to you within London within 1-2 working days after the prescription has been requested. There are sometimes delays if the pharmacy does not stock the relevant medication, if blood tests are awaited prior to prescribing or other information is awaited to ensure safe prescribing.
Yes, we can use virtual appointments which some patients find more convenient and flexible. However, some assessments are not compatible with virtual review only. For a first appointment, we would usually recommend a face to face appointment. We can assess and treat patients in this way if they are anywhere in the UK.
Yes, we welcome international patients and have the advantage of access to interpreting services. We can only provide assessment and treatment while you are staying in the UK, not once you have gone abroad. Please let us know your travel plans so we can make appropriate arrangements for appointments.
We understand that changes to appointment timings may be needed and will always do our best to accommodate such changes. Payment is requested at least 24 hours prior to the Consultation. If an appointment is missed, changed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice however, the full fee is payable.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your appointment to complete a registration form if you have not already done this online in advance. If you are more than 5 minutes late for your scheduled appointment you may lose the slot and forfeit the cost of the consultation. If we can accommodate your appointment, it may be that we need to change the appointment time to keep the clinic running to time. Occasionally, due to the nature of medical appointments, there can be a prolonged wait time but we endeavour to keep to time. Our reception staff will aim to keep you informed.
Yes, please see Pricing Page. We will let you know if we don’t think we are the right option for you and try to direct your care to another provider if relevant e.g. non-endocrine problem. If multiple follow-up appointments are requested, this may be a useful way to improve your health over time. For block bookings, a 10% non-refundable fee will be charged.
If you have a new complaint or are attending more than 1 year since your last appointment, please arrange a new appointment which will allow more time to assess the problem, unless it is a block booking.
